Today I would like to delve into the C in LECHE. What does the word COMMUNITY mean to you?
For me, a community is where people come together to meet common needs. There is a certain energy that bonds people together. A hospital is a community of healers and a school is a community of learners. As we go through the stages of life from infancy to adulthood we tend to form or join communities as a means of survival, as a means to express ourselves or create/cultivate social bonds, (gangs, fraternities, boy scouts, etc).
Some of the benefits of being in a community are establishing a sense of trust, belonging, and safety. Collective Consciousness is established and members can exchange ideas and philosophies and influence the immediate environment to which they belong. There are many tools of communication that can bring a community together, like a song, dance, and literature. Experiences can also bring people together with a collective sense to heal say for instance AA or Alcohol Anonymous or to invoke political or social change like Black Lives Matter.
That's my idea of what a community is. I know the internet is kind of an unorthodox way to establish a community, however, given the circumstances of the present day (PANDEMIC CRISIS) this platform was created for us to come together with a common need for social, emotional, and spiritual safety and development. With our collective strengths and talents, we can flow with the energy of love, community, healing, and empowerment. Just know that members of this community are here for you during these unfortunate times.
Now, what does the C in LECHE mean to you? and Do you think social media platforms are an effective means for a community to exist?
I love this post Jules! Thank you for your input to the community.
No worries bro happy to contribute.
